About Us
Orbis Telecom is a sister company of C4L Ltd (www.c4l.co.uk) and has been providing VoIP services for over 4 years now. We offer a range of services and are very proud of what we do - our investment and effort means our customers get the best possible support and service every time.
Our Hardware
At present we run a 100% HP server platform, this not only ensures great performance but also full access to the servers via a remote console should anything ever go wrong with the software. This means no lengthy waits for engineers to attend the data centre in London where the kit is hosted in order to fix problems if they occur. All the servers are configured with RAID1 (mirroring), meaning we are protected from a single hard drive failure. We maintain full stock of all spares for any eventuality, this enables us to take immediate action as necessary.
Our Security
We use SSL certificates to encrypt all web panel transactions, including credit card payments. We are now in the process of bringing on providers who support IPSEC encryption meaning any data sent from us to our suppliers is safe, this would include all VoIP calls.
Our Networking
We have two routers in place that provide the Orbis servers with their internet connection. We use our parent company C4L for one of our transit links and eRoot solutions for the other. C4L has multiple peering agreements in place with other ISP’s to ensure that our traffic gets to its destination as quickly and reliably as possible, with minimum latency & jitter. This helps to ensure your call quality is as good as possible. If one of the transit links where to fail then traffic would switch instantly, meaning no dropping of calls for our customers.
Our Routing
If you are doing more than 1 million minutes per month then we can place you on our Wholesale package, the rates are extremely competitive but we do not sacrifice quality. We have means in place to ensure that each vendor adheres to strict quality measurements, if they fail, the vendor is removed from the routing until they have fixed the problem.
Our Support
We offer a ticket system for customers to raise any problems they may be having with calls. We also provide customers with handover documentation when they initially start which explains how to use our system.
